Agitating Madhesi Front blocks Indo-Nepal borders on 2nd consecutive day

The imports of petroleum and other supplies from India and third countries wait at Indo-Nepal border areas near Biratnagar due to the blockade imposed by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) on Friday, the second consecutive day of obstruction in the industrial hub of Nepal.

Similar blockades are being carried out by the Madhesi protestors at the border areas on the Nepali side of Birgunj, Janakpur and Nepalgunj as well.

Indian SSB uncooperative to allow entry of containers

Indian Seema Surkshya Bal (SSB) personnel deployed at the Indo-Nepal border areas are reportedly not cooperating to allow container trucks carrying goods from India to Nepal via the Nepalgunj border.  As many as 88 containers have been left stranded at Rupaidiha market of India on Friday.
