#100DaysProtestNepal Observed, Forming Human Structure of 100

Monday marked 100th day of madhes protest in Nepal. Youths observed the 100th day by forming human structure of 100 in different locations of Tarai.

During the 100-days of protest, over 48 including 9 police lost their lives in Tarai alone. But the government is still turning a deaf ear to the genuine demands of Madhesis/Tharus.

To pay homage to the deceased and pressure the government, youths without any political affiliation lined up to form 100 and observed the 100th day in Parsa, Bara, Rautahat, Makwanpur, Dhanusha, and Sunsari.

During the program and at its conclusion, participants and Madhesi Youth, coordinator of the event, posted photos and views on social media including twitter under the hashtag #100DaysProtestNepal.

In Parsa district, youths lined up to form 100 at Ghantaghar Chowk, Birgunj. Thanks to Aashu and Manoj for organizing and participating in the event in Parsa.

In Bara, youths also organized similar event in two locations, Kalaiya and Jeetpur. Shailendra Tripathi took the lead to observe the 100th day in district headquarters Kalaiya in Bara, while Dr. Asraf Hussain organized youths to stand up for forming 100 in Jeetpur.

Similarly, youths sat down to form the shape of 100 at BP Chowk in Gaur of Rautahat district. Thanks to Prabha Singh, Shatrudhan Singh, Mukesh Patel and Kamlesh Singh among others for organizing the event.

Janakpur also witnessed overwhelming participation of youths to form 1oo in the premises of Janaki Temple.  Credit goes to MASS, Sano Paila, Ajitam Pandey and other youths for the successful event.

Likewise, Koshish, a group of doctors, took the lead to organize the program in the premises of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan, Sunsari. The participating doctors lit candles to write-out the number ‘100’ and stood together for a moment of silence to pay homage to the deceased during Madhes movement.

Youths in Hetauda also observed the‘100th day’ at Buddha Chowk by showcasing placards with voices of youths. Thanks to Mahesh Thakur, who successfully held the program in coordination with Bibeksheel Nepali team.

Besides, youths in the United States of America and India also marked 100th day of Madhes protest.
