The average years of schooling in Kapilvastu, Pyuthan, Rukum, Salyan, and Rolpa are significantly lower than the national average. Coincidentally, these five districts also have lower HDI than the national average.

Per Capita Income

The per capita income in all districts in State 5, except Nawalparasi are lower than the national average. The per capita income in Bardiya, Banke, Dang, and Rupandehi are slightly lower than the national average. The per capita income in rest of the districts are significantly lower than the national average.
