Purushottam Shah
Puru Shah is the founder of Madhesi Youth. Originally from Janakpur, he currently lives in Austin, USA. He is working as an electrical engineer and also pursuing a Masters in Computer Science. For fun, he likes outdoor activities, rowing, soccer, tennis, yoga, meditation and cooking vegetarian meals. For Madhesi Youth, he primarily writes about human rights issues and articles with an emphasis on data analysis & data visualization. His goal is to promote justice, equality, sustainable development, and youth empowerment in Nepal.
Praveen Kumar Yadav
Originally from Saptari, Praveen Kumar Yadav has pursued his bachelor in Janakpur and master of english education in Birgunj. Last year, he moved to Kathmandu for his personal and professional growth. Currently, he is working as a news/feature writer for a national English daily. He also teaches English in a private college in Kathmandu. Praveen believes in talking about Madhes in facts and figures, case, research and analysis. In this platform, he contributes with his writings relating to education, media, language and culture across Madhesh.
Mukesh Jha
Mukesh Jha is a Computer Engineer with a Masters Degree in Computing and Information Science from Masdar Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE. His area of interest are Smart City, Sensor Network, Algorithms, Technology, policy and management. He believes that technology can solve, if not all, many problems of developing nations. Mukesh believes that the digital citizens will engage in constructive discourse and bring the narrative of the oppressed from the perspective of the oppressed. On this platform, Mukesh will be contributing on various social and political issues pertaining to oppressed communities of Nepal.
Khushbhu Mishra
Khushbu Mishra is an editor at Madhesi Youth. Originally from Mahottari, Nepal, she currently lives in Columbus, OH. She is pursuing a doctoral degree in Development Economics with a focus on gender disparities in Asia and Africa. Besides school, she enjoys swimming, social badminton, traveling, outdoor activities, and home cooked meals. She writes about human rights issues, primarily on gender inequality. Through her professional and personal platforms, she actively promotes equality, justice and women empowerment in Nepal and globally.
Avinash Mishra
Avinash is originally from Janakpur and currently stays in Kathmandu. He loves writing and Acting. He is currently working at Madhesi Youth and advocates peace and prosperity in Nepal and Madhesh. He aims to meditate in the mountains and also aspires to be a great public speaker.
Amit Ranjan
Electrical Engineer by profession. Areas of interest are renewable energy generation and efficient energy generation and distribution planning. Likes to read history of civilization of man kind ( very vague). Generally, interested in the humanitarian issues. Very much into sports such as Soccer and Volleyball. On this platform, Amit will contributing in socio-political and energy technology issues.
Deepak Shah
Deepak Shah is the co-founder of Madhesi Youth. He is currently pursuing Mathematics and Computer Science at St. Olaf. He likes to get to the root of the problems in order to tackle them. Mathematics helps him think deeply about problems and his skills in Computer Science help him to come up with a solution. In his free time, he writes poems, plays Harmonica or run in the natural lands at St. Olaf.
